Lisbon Youth Centre (CJL) hosted on its Creative Space, between 26 ugust and 2 October, the itinerant
“Porta 4”, an initiative by the European Intercultural Club within the framework of the CapacitArte Project,
developed by the artist Julia San Millan.
“Porta 4” is an installation which results from a series of community meetings in the Bairro Portugal Novo
neighborhood, composed of illustrations of local residents and a map of dreams, in form of patchwork, pointing out
the various infrastructures that this Lisbon neighborhood lacks.
This exhibition aims, above all, to eliminate stereotypes and territorial “walls”, creating visibility towards this
place, and therefore inviting people from different backgrounds to learn about this multicultural community,
its dreams and competences, and inspiring other residents from the neighborhood and the city.
