The Portuguese Sport and Youth Institute (IPDJ), in partnership with the Institute for Employment and
Profissional Training (IEFP), will open the Course for Youth Workers, due to start in September 2019 at the Lisbon
Youth Centre.
The Youth Worker aim is to intervene in the conception, organization, development and evaluation of projects,
programmes and activities for and with young young people, through non formal education methods, facilitating and
promoting citizenship, active participation and intervention in the society, autonomy, inclusion and personal, social and
cultural development.
This course is aimed for young people between 16 and 24 years old, who must have Portuguese nationality or a
residence authorization.
