Lisbon Youth Centre (CJL) hosted, from 5 until 15 august, a youth exchange held within the context of
Generation Europe (an international network of youth work institutions for furthering an active European civil society),
organised by Youth Coop (co-operative in the field of social solidarity aiming at developing the youth sector with
initiatives and projects for the empowerment of young people and youth structures), one of its international partners.
During their stay, the group, composed of 30 young people from Portugal, Greece and Germany, aged between 14
and 19 years old, took part in various activities within the context of promoting values like freedom, democracy,
citizenship, political participation and respect for Human Rights. We would like to highlight the training session
with the pedagogical advisor of CJL, Filipe Costa, on subjects as team work, Human Rights, “the world we want” and a
presentation of CJL and its work with young people.
It should also be mentioned the group’s participation in the celebration of the International Youth Day, on August 12
at Jamor Sports Centre.
