Between 11 to 13th March, the IPDJ Lisbon Youth Centre (CJL) received the European Youth Forum Members for a board meeting.
In this context, the CJL and AIDGLOBAL held on Friday, March 11, the initiative "Involving youth in the causes of global citizenship". In this meeting the main goal was to develop a guidance document, addressed to political actors, with recommendations/suggestions on how to engage and motivate young people in the causes of global citizenship.
For three hours were discussed topics such as:
• Forced migration;
• Full respect for human rights;
• Climate changes;
Debate and ensure youth motivational strategies for active participation in society is a priority on the global agenda. More than reflect, it must be define an action agenda for social change, in which young people take their way and their level of commitment to a development model, in which they recognize want they want to see and where they want to live. How to do this, and what strategies to use, was the objective of this meeting.
